Valley of Peace Mission Trip

I thought I would show you some of our friends that hang around here. This hen decided to make this her home for awhile and after the girls and I put out a box with some dry grass in it she laid an egg! You should have seen how excited the girls were with that egg!
Dad made her a beautiful little wood nesting box and then she promptly abandoned us!! Not very loyal I'd say.
This is Fred. He hangs around in the shower room to keep us company. He's really quite neat and very harmless. He has a couple of brothers and we call them all Fred.
This horse is usually tied up in the grass by the school. He won't let you get near him usually but every once in a while he pulls up the little plant he's tied to and has a good run about the place.

This shot is at the ocean at a town called Dangriga.
Dangriga is home to a high Garifuna population. These people are famous for their drumming. They hold the drums as sacred.
Everyone loves the beach!
We saw this big old pelican balancing on this wire and couldn't believe he could do that. We kept waiting for him to fall off but he didn't and he eventually flew away.

I keep trying to get the perfect sunset shot!
We had a nice singing group at church with Kaylee and I, Dad, and Maggie and Fausto.
We've started having games nights for the youth from church and they seem to be a big success.
It's gonna fall girls, I can tell!!

Mr. Tzalam, a friend of ours took Dad on a walk to his farm in the jungle.
It was great. Dad got to see alot of interesting things. Mr Tzalam is very knowledgable about the jungle.
Don't get in her way! She's got a machete and she knows how to use it!!
Some of the trees in the jungle are really huge, and they twine around each other.
